Our Mask Policies

Special Announcement

(Updated 10/20/21):
In accordance to the new Larimer County Mask mandate, all employees and guests of Amara are required to wear masks in the front lobby, and throughout the entire duration of the massage, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for complying to the county mandates to help keep our community safe. We look forward to going back to our previous policy soon!

(updated on 9/14/21):

Everyone has new policies, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to refine our plan on mask mandates while in our facility. This blog will be updated as needed, so please check back periodically if you have questions. All massage team members, regardless of vaccination status will be wearing a mask throughout your massage appointment. For guests, masks are still optional in our front desk, lobby and boutique area. Please note that masks are still required to enter our common hallway and bathroom area with the Armstrong Hotel. For those who have been vaccinated you may also go mask free during your entire massage treatment, if you wish, but if you would still like to wear a mask you are encouraged to do so. We can’t wait to see your beautiful smiling faces once again, but please be sure to have a mask in your back pocket if needed.

As always, if you’re feeling under the weather please wait to visit us in person or for a massage until you’re healthy and symptom free. The CDC recommends that people who are not fully vaccinated continue to wear masks. For these reasons we respectfully ask that any individuals who have not been fully vaccinated (staff & guests) continue to mask up while in session and in direct sustained contact in the treatment room for 15+ minutes.

Additionally, if you have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 we ask that you remain steadfast in the following areas:

  • Not booking if recent international travel.
  • If exposed to someone with COVID-19, cancelling your appointment and getting tested before rebooking. If an employee this will entail calling out and waiting until a negative test result is acquired before returning to work per CDC recommendations.

Due to the very personal nature of our services and being in an enclosed space for 15+ minutes during a massage, we also encourage team members or clients (regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status) to continue to mask up in session if that is their personal preference. Doing so could still be a helpful protocol in preventing the spread of any virus/bacteria (not just COVID-19!!).
